Naming!!

donatatask

Children learn new vocabulary through exposure. We much use the words that we want them to learn and use at home throughout the day. When giving options for foods or toys, avoid using terms such as "this" or "that". Instead, use the true words that represent the items being discussed. For example, "want apple?", "push train!" or "shoes on!" rather than substituting the vocabulary words for "this", "that" or "it." Most importantly, have fun with this! How exciting when your little ones learn new words and use them accordingly!
